ABOUT

Claudia Ennis is a traditionally trained Baltimore artist. Ennis works to capture the relationship between the female form and nature in space and elements, creating women of beauty and strength. Using colored pencil, graphite, and oil, her work is both delicate and powerful. She is influenced by Norse, Roman, and Greek mythology. Much of her work deals with the struggle of the grieving process, as she tries to describe what loss is to those who cannot understand. In her search for the other, she explores otherworldly spacescapes, creating places to escape to.

Ennis is a certified k-12 art educator, using her experience in all mediums to expand the knowledge of students and bring arts integration into the classroom. She focuses on a socio-constructivist thesis with a choice-based pedagogy.
